January - WAS GEHT?

Yes Yes party people, hope that you rolled into 2026 in true raving fashion. As ever lots on offer, loads in the pipeline, forever banging the C101 drums. Some people state that music, clubbing & nightlife was better back in the day, we argue that this IS the day & its never been more powerful! Sure things change, but we roll with it, embrace it, sounds evolve, culture changes, venues come & go, but good music & good events stand the test of time!

Yes Yes Party People, wir hoffen, ihr seid stilecht ins Jahr 2026 gerollt – mit echtem Raver-Spirit. Wie immer steht viel an, jede Menge in der Pipeline, und wir trommeln weiter lautstark für C101. Manche sagen, Musik, Clubbing und Nightlife waren früher besser – wir sagen: Das HIER und JETZT ist genau die Zeit! Noch nie war es kraftvoller. Klar, Dinge verändern sich – aber wir gehen mit, feiern den Wandel, der Sound entwickelt sich, die Kultur auch, Locations kommen und gehen… aber gute Musik und gute Events bestehen!

IBIZA - WAS GEHT?

We will be returning to the white isle for multiple events this summer. Events to be confirmed, we are looking for some collaborations. So if you are based in Ibiza or will be there regularly, want to work on a project together, get in touch.

What is 101% safe is that we will be celebrating our 8th Birthday during the 2nd week of September (7th - 13th) a couple weeks earlier than last year, looking and sounding, larger & wilder than last year, so yeah book that week off work & join us in the sun!

Wir kehren diesen Sommer für mehrere Events auf die weiße Insel zurück. Events werden noch bestätigt, wir sind auf der Suche nach Kollaborationen. Wenn du also auf Ibiza lebst oder regelmäßig dort bist und Lust hast, gemeinsam an einem Projekt zu arbeiten, melde dich gerne.

Was zu 101 % sicher ist: Wir feiern unseren 8. Geburtstag in der 2. Septemberwoche (7.–13.) – ein paar Wochen früher als letztes Jahr, größer & wilder im Look und Sound als zuvor. Also: Woche frei nehmen & mit uns in der Sonne feiern!

Recently online i have been reading about a new underground secret club on the island new for 2026. No official announcement just speculation online. 300 capacity, no phone policy, underground venue off the track in the valleys.. sounds great to be fair. The no phones is quiet standard in Germany but many clubs in England & Ibiza with slightly younger attendees is wild, like a paparazzi circus. So all for no phone policies at events, live in the moment! In an era of hearing many venues closing or selling their soul, its refreshing to hear these rumours.

Kürzlich habe ich online über einen neuen, geheimen Underground-Club auf der Insel gelesen, neu für 2026. Keine offizielle Ankündigung, nur Spekulationen. 300er-Kapazität, No-Phone-Policy, unterirdische Location abseits der Wege in den Tälern… klingt ehrlich gesagt großartig. Keine Handys ist in Deutschland ziemlich Standard, aber in vielen Clubs in England & auf Ibiza mit etwas jüngerem Publikum ist es wild – wie ein Paparazzi-Zirkus. Also: absolut pro No-Phone-Policy & Underground-Locations

If we are on subject of underground venues in Ibiza then Tomodachi by all accounts is the one! Gutted to have not fit it in last summer, but for sure will visit in 2026. An intimate space located in Ibiza town, have heard great things. 2025 was the clubs opening & had an awesome array of talent on the controls. Alvaro Medina, Enzo Leep, Fabe, Jeremy Weeks, JNJS, Tania Vulcano, Voigtmann to name a few! The guys from Real Gang have pulled it out the bag, in an Ibiza era of limited Underground business, Tomodachi looks quiet the spot.

Wenn wir schon beim Thema Underground-Venues auf Ibiza sind, dann ist Tomodachi nach allem, was man hört, der Spot! Schade, dass wir es letzten Sommer nicht geschafft haben, aber 2026 wird das definitiv nachgeholt. Ein intimer Space in Ibiza-Stadt, man hört nur Gutes. 2025 war das Eröffnungsjahr des Clubs mit einem großartigen Künstler*innen-Aufgebot an den Decks: Alvaro Medina, Enzo Leep, Fabe, Jeremy Weeks, JNJS, Tania Vulcano, Voigtmann, um nur einige zu nennen! Die Jungs von Real Gang haben wirklich abgeliefert. In einer Ibiza-Ära mit wenig Underground-Business sieht Tomodachi nach dem Spot aus.

FAR EASTERN INFLUENCES..

Another underground spot that has breathed a whole load of life into Frankfurt is TOKONOMA! Attended 4 times in the past 2 months, not bad going and there is a reason for it, its powerful! 3 amazing floors, great layout, sound, fresh, cutting edge. The staff there are awesome, lineups also… Its a massive yes from us! We rolled through after our last event, just to show the Artists visiting the new venue & they was impressed, didn’t see or check the lineup, to our surprise Christian AB & Dyed Soundorom were on the controls. Yes Tokonoma is powerful. I cant really articulate how it is, it would be a yes from all the judges, it would be well worth taking the Saturday off work, stay dancing longer and do extra hours in the week, & if you not from FFM, open up Monopoly, pass go, collect your 200$, check a tasty lineup, book a flight & go to visit the new FFM hotspot.

Ein weiterer Underground-Spot, der Frankfurt neues Leben eingehaucht hat, ist TOKONOMA! In den letzten zwei Monaten viermal dort gewesen – nicht schlecht, und es gibt einen Grund dafür: es ist mächtig! Drei großartige Floors, starkes Layout, Sound, frisch, cutting-edge. Das Personal ist top, die Line-ups ebenfalls… von uns ein klares Ja!

Wir sind nach unserem letzten Event vorbeigekommen, einfach um den Artists den neuen Club zu zeigen – und sie waren beeindruckt. Ohne das Line-up zu checken, zu unserer Überraschung standen Christian AB & Dyed Soundorom an den Decks. Ja, Tokonoma ist kraftvoll. Ich kann kaum in Worte fassen, wie es ist – von allen Juroren gäbe es ein klares Ja. Es lohnt sich absolut, samstags frei zu nehmen, länger zu tanzen und die Überstunden unter der Woche zu machen. Und wenn du nicht aus FFM bist: Monopoly aufmachen, über Los gehen, 200 $ kassieren, ein fettes Line-up checken, Flug buchen & den neuen FFM-Hotspot besuchen.

Apart from amigos travelling to Frankfurt for our C101 events, the main club when people talk about in Frankfurt or what they have heard of is Robert Johnson. & yes Robert Johnson is amazing, its an institution, its a gem, some of my best nights in Germany have been dancing in there. It is however not in Frankfurt & is in Offenbach, and as a proud Offenbacher we obvisously claim it.

So for the music heads, in my opinion TOKONOMA have the title as best club in Frankfurt. Well worth a visit.

Abgesehen von Freund*innen, die für unsere C101-Events nach Frankfurt reisen, ist der Club, von dem die meisten sprechen oder den sie kennen, Robert Johnson. Und ja, Robert Johnson ist unglaublich – eine Institution, ein Juwel. Einige meiner besten Nächte in Deutschland habe ich dort tanzend verbracht. Er liegt allerdings nicht in Frankfurt, sondern in Offenbach – und als stolzer Offenbacher beanspruchen wir ihn natürlich.

Für die Musikliebhaber gilt aus meiner Sicht dennoch: TOKONOMA trägt aktuell den Titel bester Club in Frankfurt. Definitiv einen Besuch wert.

Zum Abschluss der fernöstlichen Einflüsse: News dieser Woche – Japans Finest Audio-Technica haben den AT-LP7X-Plattenspieler angekündigt. Ich würde ihn gerne mal leihen; das Design sieht cool aus, sleek, minimalistisch. Ein neuer, moderner, vollständig manueller, riemengetriebener Turntable.

We have recently received some records that have travelled around Europe more than the average touring DJ, left on planes, left in wrong lands you name it, but they returned to brother SC’s house… Over a year later, definitely, safer to collect them.

Perhaps time to update the antiques.. time will tell.
